Senior Test Lead

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Test Lead to join our dynamic team. The Senior Test Lead will be responsible for overseeing the testing process, ensuring the quality of software products, and leading a team of testers. This role requires a deep understanding of testing methodologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans. Define test objectives, scope, and deliverables.
2. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of testers. Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to ensure high performance.
3. Test Execution: Oversee the execution of test cases, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
4. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
5. Quality Assurance: Ensure that software products meet quality standards and performance criteria. Conduct reviews and audits to maintain high quality.
6. Collaboration: Work with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure smooth testing processes.
7. Reporting and Metrics: Generate and present test reports, metrics, and quality indicators to stakeholders. Provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a lead or managerial role.
3. Technical Skills:
4. Proficient in various testing tools and frameworks.
5. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
6. Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, LoadRunner).
7. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) is a plus.
